Youth Outreach Worker

Recognising the value of the work of the Youth Outreach Worker at the Church in the Westlands, both Church Councils had agreed to extend the Youth Outreach Worker post for a further three years from 1 September 2008 to 31 August 2011 and we are delighted that sufficient funding had been raised to cover the costs involved.

Since then Matt has accepted a place on the Graduate Teacher Training Scheme in Stoke, with effect from 1 September 2009, and we are currently in the process of recruiting to the post with an initial 3 year contract period (find out more on the jobs page), thereby extending the project, potentially, to 31 August 2013.

In order to fund this it is likely that a further £10,000 will be required, over and above that currently financed by regular giving. We are immensely grateful for all those who have given and continue to give to the project.
