Fair Trade

For several years we have been a Fair Trade Church. What this means is that we have made a commitment to use Fair Trade goods such as tea, coffee, sugar etc at any church functions. Also we will promote Fair Trade goods during Fair Trade fortnight. We have also made a commitment to sell Fair Trade goods after a good number of our 10.30am Sunday services in St Andrew's Church Hall. St Peter's Church also runs a fair trade stall on occasions.

As Christians we believe that God loves all people. We are commanded to follow the example of Jesus who demonstrated God's love for all people, especially the disadvantaged. Therefore Fairtrade is a way in which we can practically show God's love for the disadvantaged in the Developing World and those close by who are victims of unfair trade.
