House Groups
What are House Groups?
From the very earliest days of the Church, small groups of Christians have met together in people’s homes mid week to:
- Look together at the Scriptures
- Pray
- Help and encourage each other
Who are House Groups for?
House Groups are aimed at Christians who want to grow in their knowledge and love of the Lord Jesus, and want to apply what he has to say to their day to day lives.
You don’t have to belong to St Andrew’s or St Peter’s, but probably new members of House Groups will have been on one of our Christianity Explored or Following Jesus courses.
When and where do House Groups run?
House Groups meet fortnightly – some are daytime, and some evening – and on most days of the week. Some meet in members’ homes, other in the church premises. A complete list of current groups may be found in a leaflet at the back of both our churches.
What will the House Groups be studying?
We aim to encounter God through the Scriptures, and recent series have included 1 Thessalonians, Luke 9-12, and Exodus 1-20.
