Rev John Taylor

Before responding to God’s call to the Ordained Methodist Ministry, I spent 30 years working in Local Government with Stoke on Trent City Council, latterly as Marketing Manager for Civic and Schools Services within the Contract Services Department. I trained for the Ministry with the Northern Ordination Course and completed a Degree in Theology with Liverpool University. My first appointment was in the Wolstanton and Audley Circuit. I spent 8 years in the Birmingham District as Superintendent of firstly the Kineton Circuit and then Mid. Warwickshire Circuit. Both appointments also included Chaplain to the Army School of Ammunition and Royal Logistics Corp bomb disposal unit based in DM Kineton. I am now an active Supernumerary with St Peter’s in the Westlands and St Luke’s in Clayton.

My hobbies include allotment gardening, singing (karaoke style) and performing magic tricks.

In 2017 my wife Rosemary and I celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary.
We have a son Simon, daughter in law Paula and two grand children Jack and Maisie.
