St Andrew's Church (Church of England)

A word from our Vicar, Reverend Gardiner:
" We are committed to the whole of the Westlands area
and all who live here. We are a mixed congregation in every
way. We would love you to be part of our life and work."

Information
about the Church's facilities.
St. Andrew's is a family-friendly church. Our congregation consists
of a wide range of people from different age groups and backgrounds,
but in particular there are many families with children amongst
us. We have regular family services
that are geared to the needs of our young (and not so young) congregation.
These usually occur on the second Sunday of the month.
Children are welcome at all our services.. At the 10.30 Sunday
Morning Service a Sunday Club is provided for the weeks when there
is no Family Service. This comprises Climbers,
for children from 3 to 7 years, Trailblazers
for 7 to 11 year olds and
Pathfinders for those aged 11 to 14 years. Children usually
leave for their groups after the second hymn when invited to do
so by the Vicar. This is a joint sunday club with St.
Peter's Church and is ran by members of both congregations.

Should your child become unsettled during the service we have a supply of toy bags available at the back of the church. These contain a number of small toys and colouring books to help occupy your child. If your child becomes unsettled to the point where you feel uncomfortable keeping them in the congregation, we have a sound-proof creche room, inside the church itself, where you can take them. The creche is served by an audio link and so parents can still hear the service whilst supervising their child. A range of toys suitable for under 5's is available. |
Do join us! We welcome you!
